
Kitfo, sometimes also spelled ketfo, is an Ethiopian dish made with raw, ground beef, and flavored with mitmita, a local spice blend containing pili-pili pepper.
Also added is niter kibbeh, the local clarified butter which is flavored with a large number of spices.
Kitfo is similar to gored gored but the cut of the meat is different and therefore brings different sensations to the tasting. In gored gored, the meat is cut into cubes while in the case of kitfo, it is minced.
To make this Ethiopian food, it is best to use top quality lean beef, such as tenderloin or sirloin. This dish is can be served with injera, a flatbread made from teff
